Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
Sewanee is a beautiful campus, (the second largest in the country with 10,000 acres) and a rather small student population with about 1,300 students or so. The town itself including the college is only about 2,500 people total, which makes it a "one stop light" town, literally. if you're NOT into drinking or the greek scene, then i suggest you don't even consider SEWANEE because it's too small to try and find your own group that is "independent" and not into drinking. sewanee has almost noooo diversity what so ever, and basically is made up of white, conservative southerners, who drive SUV's or bmw's. Students dress up while attending football games on wearing bowties and blazers..and the girls all wearing their sundresses. Sewanee is verrrry conformist, with (almost) no diversity, although it is an amazing expierence which will leave anyone with long friendships because of how small the town is! the prof's there, you will often times run into on a friday night at the pub or will invite you over to their house for dinner, they are very caring and want to be able to help students however they can. the academic load can be overwhelming although it wont hinder your social life at all!
