The student body seems all nice and welcomingSuper BrilliantEconomics
The student body seems all nice and welcoming but once you actually get to Sewanee they are all backstabbing b*****. the social life sucks a lot! if you are not in a greek organization, your social life is doomed. most of the kids drink way too much alcohol and rape is big issue that the administration doesn't acknowledge because they are too busy perfecting their image for prospective students. The students are so racist its ridiculous and many are so closeminded. It might as well be a school out of the 1860s . The sports teams are not so good with the exception of a few and school spirit is lacking. Drugs are also a huge underground problem and at least 5 kids left to go to rehab. Sewanee might as well be called University of the fake ass**** because everyone is so fake and will smile in your face but turn around and talk about you. No denying there are some nice students but majority of the student body is fake and snooty. DONT come to sewanee if you don't like living in the minddle of shitcountry nowhere. All you will do is drink, do drugs hike, drink, cheat in school and drink more. I regret my decision to attend this school.

Question
The alcohol and socialQuite BrightEnglish
The alcohol and social life around alcohol is out of control. There has already been 2 non-consensual sexual situations this year alone. The alcohol and traditions around drinking make this a school that is not worth attending.

Question
I'll be transferring after one very long year.Quite BrightEnglish
I'll be transferring after one very long year. I can attend UT for 3 years and and pay for much of my graduate school for the price of one year at Sewanee. This is not the Sewanee my parents went to. It is wealthy kids or kids from lower income families but it does not make sense to attend here if your parents work for a living. If you have funding to go to travel abroad, take summers off, or take a few years off after college, this could be your choice.
