Tulane is a lot of fun; the freshmen dorms are pretty crappy except for Wall, but you need to write an extra essay to get into Wall and it really shows in the types of people who end up there. There aren't too many people, so you can see friends around campus sometimes, but enough so that you don't have to. There are people from all around the country, including decent Asian and Indian student populations. There are also many very Christian southerners. The thing about Tulane is that almost everyone likes to party, and the NOLA atmosphere really allows it all to happen. The school administration has really been cracking down on greek life lately, which basically eliminates fraternity parties. They won't go down without a fight though, and they still have active rushing and pledging programs. As far as the weather goes, it is often very humid and it rains a lot, but it almost never gets cold. The campus is nice, with huge, old trees with expansive branches. Across St. Charles Avenue is Audubon Park and Audubon Zoo.
