I transferred to CSU after attending a private school for two years. I loved the private school, don't get me wrong, but there are many more opportunities for students to get involved with the school, community, and undergrad/graduate research. There are numerous clubs on campus that are available to help students get "plugged in" to CSU, gain valuable leadership experience (or experience for a particular field, such as pre-medica, pre-PT, pre-OT, etc.), and network with professors, among many other benifits. Fort Collins has the atmosphere of a small town, with all of the benefits of a larger city. It has also been rated the number 1 place to live in America by Money Magazine for the past few years. CSU is set next to the foothills, and there are numerous hiking/biking trails nearby, as well as Horsetooth Res. and the Poudre River which are all great for recreational activities.
