I graduated from OU last year, and going there was the worst mistake of my life. I am embarassed to tell people I went to OU. I am from Plano, and attended private school in Dallas. Even after my first semester at OU, I was desperately wishing I had gone to UT Austin or Tulane. People at OU are morons. They make such a big deal out of the whole UT/OU rivalry. It's ridiculous. Do people not realize UT Austin is rated 50 spots higher than OU is academically? You will see a ton of white trash people in big ass trucks driving around Norman with an inverted UT Austin longhorn sticker.

Art History at OU is an embarassment. I feel like a lot of my classes were easier than high school. The first few classes were a repeat of AP studio art and AP art history from high school.

Unless you aren't that bright or want to go to a school where you can drink every night and party with your fraternity/sorority, don't come here. You will hate it and go home every weeekend.

This school is too concerned about athletics. All the money seems to go to football and building new facilities for them. The art school suffers from asbestos problems. no one is fixing that. If you are wanting to be in a sorority or fraternity and lose your individuality, this is the school for you. It seems not many people are here to learn, it's just about parties, tanning, and the next date party. Everyone seems to be be PSYCHO CHRISTIAN bible-beaters here too. It's crazy. There are pastors who come to campus and yell at kids or have pictures of dead babies for anti-abortion rallies. Everyone says they love JESUS! and then goes and gets drunk after church on Thursday nights. But seriously, people who aren't into the whole FAKE thing should not go here, because that sums up this school. teachers who don't teach, people who have bleached hair and teeth, and have lots of money in the family.
