Major: Geography and Geosciences (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated from high school of roughly the same size as Clark. I initially picked this school because of the Geography department, lack of Greek life, and small size. However over time my exprience here has been less than optimal and not worth the 40,000 per year. I will admit that the academics at this school is not bad. With few exceptions the professors here are great people who want to get to know their students, even in the big classes (thats 50 students). Though they are concerned about their research, they make time for their students. For the most part, professors here want their students to do well and will do whatever it takes for them to acheive their goals. Hence, I have given the academics here high marks.Where this school falls flat making me want to transfer is in the student body and social realm. With VERY FEW exceptions the student body is simply an extension of high school. Cliques are everywhere and form within the first week of school. The student body is largely apathetic and wants to get the hell out of here. People only come to Clark because of financial aid which is the only way people would come to the "cesspool" of Massachusetts. The majority of people in my class are either social misfits or people only coming due to good finacial aid. OR people who did not visit prior to arrival. If only they could see the slum in which the school sits in, they would be turned away. Worcester is quite possibly one of the worst places to go to college in.
