I am a Freshman at KSC and must say, its kind of a waste of money. For $24,000 for out-of-state tuition, I thought I would get a good education, but thats not the case. I wonder how some people at this school even got accepted to any college. Professors are helpful, but coursework is extremely easy.

As far as socially, its mostly out-of-state students (CT and MASS mostly), middle-class white students that like to think they have more money than they do. Party nights are Thursday-Saturday, and nothing goes on in between. One major frat has a party on Thursday, then small sports houses have parties the other nights. If your over 21 the bar scene is really fun, but until then dance parties get really old. Most people are friendly, but come with friends from high school, because people stay with their core group of friends.

The freshman dorms are TERRIBLE unless you get lucky and get into Holloway (its extra money but WELL worth it), but the others don't even provide paper towels in the bathrooms. The food in the dining commons (DC) is actually really good for a low-budget state school, but definetly get flex as a part of your meal plan, or else u get sick of the DC fast. The library is really nice and gives you a great place to study (if you even need too). Not much to do in the town though, and during the winter it gets too cold to go out.

If your looking for the "college expierence", although Keene is a lot like high school, you can definetly have some fun. Just note that most credits will not transfer from Keene, so if your looking to go there for just a year, its a waste. I would reccomend UNH to any conservative students, because most people here are extremely liberal or simple have no views on politics.
