Furman attracts hardworking student with a desire to excel. There are numerous opportunities to get "plugged in" socially. From a guy's perspective the transition to Furman is probably a little more difficult for girls, especially those interested in Greek Life because recruitment takes place in the second semester and Furman has some weird rules about it.
