Northwestern University

I'm your average, perhaps even below average, student. A slacker in high school, not that much into partying (the right amount), but not into work either. I honestly did not expect to get into Northwestern AT ALL. It was way out of my league and the counselors made sure they reminded me all the time that I could not be accepted with a GPA of 3.28. Even my mother who always supports me had to agree with everyone else.

When I got my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. I knew I wanted to go there. Or rather, I THOUGHT I wanted to go there. The truth was that it was NORTHWESTERN and that's all I thought about. Hell, I got into one of the best schools in the country! It was in the top so it had to be good, right?

Well, it wasn't. People here are arrogant, stuck up, and just plain nasty, even the professors. I like the challenging coursework, but the attitudes here turn me off.

Follow my advice. REALLY research where you want to go. Don't look at the rankings because they don't incorporate the snootiness level of the students and professors. Personally, if I had to rank this school, it would be at the bottom. Remember, it's not all about the top ten universities!

I can't say this enough! The people here are horrible! I'm not saying the place doesn't have it's good points, because it does, but hte bad points outweigh the few good ones.
