I love SIU, I noticed that people complained about the type of people here…well, you are in Southern Illinois. At the same time, 45% of the student population is from the Chicago land area…I don't know what part of town you hang out in, but you'll definitely see other people than "toothless hillbillies." Their core curriculum is a joke though, but my major (advertising) is challenging for me. If you want to hate your college, you're going to…get involved!
