I
started out at Ball State and was disappointed, so I
transferred after my first semester. First off, Muncie is
a complete dump. They don't show that in all
the pretty university viewbooks. It is totally backwater and
redneck. Second off, a lot of people come and
go here, they score easy grades their first year and
then transfer to Purdue or IU. The design program
here is good, but it doesn't have the name recognition
or prestige of Purdue or IU. I visited both
of them, plus the Art Institute of Indianapolis, and chose
Purdue because its really well funded and the facilities are
top notch. BSU is a good starter school, if
you go home every weekend, but don't stay longer than
a year cause your credits may not all transfer.
