Major: Chemical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I really love it here. My major (Chemical Engineering) has excellent professors and they really do try to keep you engaged. They're available when you need help. I am in the Honors program, and that's a big advantage too; nice dorm and give you a scholarship to participate. The football team sucks. The basketball team also sucks. They're further away from the ski resorts than CU is, but the ski club does NOT suck. Good mix of students. The girls are pretty and they wear boots and mini skirts at the same time which is wierd and must be cold for them, but it gives us something to make fun of (besides the football team). All in all, I'm a lot happier here than my friends are who went to Boulder. I see a lot of them anyway, since they come up here to visit and whine about how they should have come here instead. I'd probably feel very differently about this place if I were paying in state tuition, though. For a Colorado resident, this is a bargain. I guess your academic experience depends on the major. This is a great place for science and engineering (except for chemistry which sucks). Not so good for liberal arts. The business college thinks it's better than it really is. But Natural Resources and Ag have outstanding programs. You could do a lot worse. Like maybe go to Boulder.
