To be honest, I was not always 100% certain that I would like Marist. I had a tough roommate situation my freshman year, and was the only one of my friends who chose to go out of state for school. This school, however, has given me so many positive experiences that my mind changed quickly. The campus is beautiful, and professors actually care about engaging with their students—you definitely aren't just a number here. Sometimes the campus does feel a little small (like you know everyone already), but the benefits of that, such as professors who are accessible, definitely outweighs the negatives. People are friendly and there are a lot of extracurriculars/ opportunities for students, such as trips to NYC. Also offered me excellent financial aid.
