After spending a year and a half at uri I can say that I learned a great deal about myself rather than academically. The school is not very focused when it comes to actual work so if you Apply yourself people will think you are a genius. But as far as social life goes it's really what you make of it. You must be patient and stay openminded. The trick to uri is, in both aspcts of classes and meeting people, to sign yourself up for pretty much everything, go and attend everything within the first 2 weeks and weed out the things that will work for you and the people you will feel connected with. Remember that nothing is a waste of time and at first uri might seem like it but everyone has their place there- the trick is having the patience and integrity to find it
