Major: Meteorology (This Major's Salary over time)
Cornell is a big-name, Ivy institution, and it definitely carries a lot of weight. Personalities here tend to be type-A go-getters; some are friendly and kind, others are totally arrogant and consider those from other colleges or even other majors to be beneath them. Almost everyone here is competitive, and cut-throat behavior is common in some majors (AEM, pre-med). There is a prevailing sense of being top-tier and that that has some form of entitlement attached. Cornell's great if you can find a niche through an extracurricular activity, such as a club, sport team or Greek life. While the competitiveness is commonplace here, there are good people here that more than balance out the arrogant ones. Academic and social offerings are expansive, facilities are kept in great shape. Definitely maintains a proud and well-kept physical appearance. Ithaca is a bit isolated, but has its charms, and is one of the few cities in upstate New York that's still growing. Cornell name works to be a significant advantage when applying to grad school or for jobs.
