Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated with a biology degree in 2009. I got a job rather quickly at a major Dallas hospital just before I graduated, now I have returned to UTSW in Dallas for a Medical Technology degree. Getting accepted was very easy. I had pretty much all A's and some extracurriculars but I don't think that would be necessary to get in. Getting in is easy.. it is when you get to the department and start meeting the requirements that you will find it challenging and rewarding. Especially for the Biology and Chemistry departments, they are very challenging. The professors tend to not hold your hand all the way as with some university's. I found that though I and my classmates were getting frustrated and getting "senor-itis" at the very end, I have learned so much from this school. In going to UTSW, and hearing about others education experiences, I am very grateful that I went to TWU. Being in a smaller setting, there are so many more opportunities for you to help out, get lab experience, research experience etc. I did both and it truly helped for later on. Just be prepared to learn a lot and open your brain and you'll be fine :)
