This University's nurse practitioner program is biased againJun 13 2013Nursing
This University's nurse practitioner program is biased against males and minorities. You may be A+ like me, but when it seems you are about to graduate, they give you a C and that kicks you out of the program. And then you cannot use the credits you have to finish at least an MSN. Very unfair. Very biased. Women get better grades for lower quality work than males.
I was a male in the Master's degreeMay 02 2013Unknown
I was a male in the Master's degree program in Library Science! I was one of three males to start the M.L.S. program and the only male to earn my M.L.S. degree!

I was treated very well by the women at TWU after they found out that I was at TWU because of my interest in library science and not because I wanted to change the culture of the all-woman's college.

I was a graduate research assistant and worked for the Dean of the School of Library and Information Science, Dr. Keith Swigger. Dr. Swigger

treated me very well.
The Director of Financial Aid gave me two scholarships after I wrote him a
letter explaining my dire financial need. The scholarships enabled me to pay in-state tuition!
I liked my dorm room, the beautiful campus library, and even the dormitory food! The faculty were friendly and helpful!

My grades were mainly As with some BsFeb 16 2011Nutrition
My grades were mainly As with some Bs. I was failed during comprehensive exams and told to retake them. There was no one to advise me to help me get through the exams. the dean Dr. Prasad was not helpful and arrogant. I was not assigned a reasonable research project to complete. The suggestion was one I would have to pay to work with and it was very questionable if the data would ever be publishable or usable. I would not recommend investing in the PhD program. The masters program was adequate. The new dean Dr. Prasad has ruined the PhD program. Do not waste your time.
