Im just going to add my two cents on this, since the reviews seem to really contrast each other. This is my second year at Liberty (19-sophomore)and I have to say, it has been a roller coaster. I don't really know how to differentiate Liberty from another college because I've never been to another one, so I can only guess from what people tell me. Liberty puts itself out like it's this awesome University where everyone is happy and friendly and there is never a dull moment. Well, if you actually come to the school, you will get a much different perspective. I'm kinda a shy kid, and it was kind of hard to make friends because I wasn't really into the whole cliche college thing (sports, dating, chicken wings) and I know I'm not the only student here that feels that way. I became very indpendent as a person because of it, so I guess thats ok, but it was kinda miserable. The RA's/prayer leaders are hired to be your friend but I feel like a lot of the time they are just faking it because they are required to do it. I know I sound like a whiny b!tch, but it just seems so contradictary to me. Its like, if you don't play sports or sign up for fantasy football or get involved in your dorm life, your cast out. I mean sure they are still courteous, but I would rather be friends with someone who actually cares. I honestly just think the whole RA concept here is stupid. Not to say I haven't met some cool people, but it was really hard to find them, because everyone here puts on a front either because they are afraid to be their real selves or don't want to end up being a friendless loser, so they act like they are so happy and are enjoying every moment here. I believe in God and the Bible and everything, but I find that I have to stay really strong in my personal beliefs because they try to make you conform to their way of thinking. I just wish I could be myself and not be judged for what I think, wear, listen to, ect. I kinda gave up on my own personal desires because it was getting my nowhere here. I'm not super depressed, because I'm a pretty strong person and I try not to let ignorant and frankly stupid people get to me. I should've gotten out last year, but I stuck with it because my parents really liked it, but I have honestly had enough with this fake Christian campaign bullshit. I'm only posting this review because I know I am not the only kid out of 8k+ students who feels the same way, at least I hope not. yeesh. anyways, I don't want to give out any information that Liberty might see, but if ya wanna talk, email me at kthanks bye:)
