Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated Lesley University with a BA in Art Therapy. Over the course of my years there I witness a change in student population. Everyone was aware that this was due to the fact the Lesley began accepting more students for financial reasons. During this time Lesley had to house students in dorm lounges and local hotels. I also noticed Lesley had an influx of frivolous spending. An example is a non-existent purchase of the naming rights for the Porter T stop. A majority of the faculty (at least from my experience) were wonderful, helpful, and passionate. But the inner workings of departments both administrative and educational were disorganized and ill informed. Most information I received regarding financial facts and course advising was confusing and often wrong. SAVE A COPY OF EVERYTHING! The campus is small and in being so lent itself to a personal and less rowdy atmosphere. This same population and location size brings with it more drama (aka Lesley High School). If you are considering Art Therapy here I would like to share that the experience was very rich in self discovery but lacking in both Fine Art depth and Counseling experience. If this is a real passion of yours…take it at Lesley for a masters. You leave undergrad without an certification anyway.
