My experience at WMU has been a very unique one. I am a transfer student who lives on campus but knows many people from my home town who live off campus. Let me say right now that Western is an amazing party school. I have partied at many schools in this state and NONE OF THEIR party scenes even compare to Western's. I was put in a poor position this year when I was placed in an upperclassmen dormitory. All of the students in my hall are nerdy, passive, goody-two shoes pussies. Had I not known my friends from my home town who live off campus, this year would have been horrible. If you are an future student who enjoys to party and gets along with NORMAL kids (not nerdy little bitch kids) I would advise that you live in the valleys. The valleys are commonly known as freshman dorms but transfer students can live there. The classes at Western are incredibly easy. I expected them to be very difficult but they are honestly easier than my high school classes were. I have excelled academically at WMU (3.3 gpa), but next year I will not be going to school at WMU because I have some personal issues to take care of in my home town. Western is an amazing place and I have had many very fun weekends here. My living situation in the sophomore dorms is horrible though. If I could give one piece of advice to anybody coming to Western it would be to carefully choose where you are going to live. If u plan on living on campus and you are a normal kid who likes to party and hang out with non-nerdy kids the valley's are the only way to go. Their are also many very good places to live off campus. I personally love the student ghetto. Enjoy your time at Western and put yourself in the right living situation if you want to get the most out of your time here.
