Most students, and parents of students do not realize that most of the faculty at Marist are part-time, and further, lack a PhD. My sister goes to a SUNY college across the river and every one of her professors is full-time and has a doctorate in their field. While Marist APPEARS beautiful, there are many, many academics related issues that are substandard and completely lack substance … including faculty. so caveat emptor. What can you say to explain a college where over 60 of its graduates attain cum laude or higher? You will find our when you graduate and have to compete with other recent graduates from a top tier college or university that a degree from Marist College isn't worth the paper its written on. good luck. |

I am a member of a greek organization and currently have a 3.6 GPA after completing my freshmen year. Everything at Marist is well kept and very beautiful. People are friendly and the professors are very passionate about their fields. If I could, I would attend Marist College year round.
