What do you say about the people being open? I go to texas tech, and I find it very hard to find people to go out with. I'm not the only one. I find people here at TTU like to form cliques. Huge cliques. I feel like UT Austin has parties where EVERYONE is invited where people are more open. And its true TTU people are not so open because a lot of the students come from small towns. So what do you have to say about the people at UT Austin, and the parties? |
You will find all kinds of people at UT. Generally people are open and accepting. After spending 3 years at UT I made a few close friends and a lot of acquaintances it's not hard to get to know people there. Overall a great school academically and socially. |
Major: Journalism (This Major's Salary over time)
In my opinion, the student is the only factor that determines his/her experience. If you want to PARTY, come to UT. If you want to STUDY come to UT. If you want to enjoy football amongst fanatics, definitely come to UT. I am not a football fan, I have never gone to a UT game, but I enjoy tailgating and after parties what can I say. I am involved in the student television, I am passing my classes with A's and B's, I have friends from all over the world, I have gone to awesome parties, weird places, exquisite restaurants, beautiful hiking trails…and my first semester has yet to end. I am thankful of choosing such a friendly environment. Of course, you are in Texas, don't be surprised if you ever encounter country hicks and racist conservatives LOL. Up side is that the campus so international, actually I can say that majority of my friends are international students and out of state- which is great! My proffs are reaching and friendly, although I have not met two of them because I have such a tight agenda and office hours don't fit in it. I can seriously say that I love this univeristy, but I do not want to be biased, so I will also give some cons. Registration is a pain in the #$%, but somehow I have always managed to get the classes I need. Also, the university makes it quite difficult to double major in two different colleges u.u, that is the biggest downer I think. Last but not least, it is hard not to get distracted with so much stuff going on everywhere.
