Horrible "Core Program" that is mandatory for all students and they don't tell you that it will require you to take exactly 2 classes for exactly 4 years that ARE NOT accredited because the courses were made up by Champlain faculty and they're quite BS. You buy their books for their made up classes and you have to take them for exactly 4 years to graduate. It's a hoax. The admissions and financial aid offices are literally in the same room with just a dividing wall that doesn't even enclose all the way and it's an absolute nightmare to get progress or updates on anything! They don't communicate to each other so if an info is missing, they tell you to walk to the other side of the room and wait in line for something so mundane and basic and then go back to the other side and wait in line to deliver the info…it's like the students are the middle men. It's honestly the least efficient office I could imagine let alone witness. The education is alright outside of the core program, but who wants to be deceived into that black pit? No joke, one of the Core Program teachers in their made up Rhetoric class "taught" us the difference between "they're, there, and their." I tried to escape and told the Dean that I wanted to take Rhetoric II because I can read and write above 5th grade level and she pretty much said I have to take it just because. I had so much expectations for Champlain and it gravely disappointed me. It's a small school, but it really doesn't give a crap about what their students think. It's mostly good for lazy kids with rich parents.
