Hi. im thinking of applying as a math major too. just wondering how's the course rigor like and do you get to learn computer programming as soon as your first year? will it be weird if a maths major did not enter college with any AP calculus credits? |
Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
I came to the U of M sheerly because it was affordable. I spent my high school senior year at a local private university (PSEO program) and absolutely loved it there. After coming to the U, I learned quickly to consult "Rate My Professor" before singing up for classes. The language barrier is a true problem. Most of the TA's get a thrill at grading labs / papers harshly. I have had good experiences with the computer repair people. I also like the transportation system at the U. It works well and I can usually get where I need to go fairly easily. I'm glad I don't have a car because parking is horrendous.
