Dickinson College has some of the best marketers in the business and stupidly believed everything they pitched to first generation college students. I found most of the student body arrogant, close-minded, and to my surprise—considering how many of them went to elite private schools—anti-intellectual. In hindsight, I am glad I was poor enough to get 90% funding, but the curriculum seemed aimless and there lacked sold career counseling beyond the typical graduate-professional fields. I wish I had something more positive to say about my time there, but I don't. I regret not transferring after my freshman year.
