I'm considering attending NEIU for completion of my BA in Economics/Political Science. Since it appears you got the same degree I am seeking, I just want to ask if you received a job offer quickly after and whether you would recommend I attend NEIU or UIC for my degree. Looking for honest advice. |
I was already in a job in my field, when I attended NEIU. When I was let go from that job, I got another in PA.UIC is a great school also. It is probably more tuned into the atmosphere of the city than NEIU. Many of my professors were working on getting their doctorate from UIC (Economics). If I had my choice, UIC-but I was working and NEIU was convenient. NEIU is more individual oriented. |
Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
Great school. I was working a full time job and wanted to earn my MBA. NEIU offered MBA night classes that helped me attain this degree in 2 years. Although not as challenging as DuPaul, Northwestern, Loyala, or UIC, I really liked this school.I also attained a BA in Economics/Political Science from this school. I learned a lot from this small institution. I still maintain contact with some professors. This is a commuter school, so there are no dorms. Socializing is definitely harder in this atmosphere. However the night classes force classes to learn about the other. This school has many international students, so expect an experience with East Europeans, Chinese, and Latin Americans.
