My advice is to attend a smaller, private college. It is more expensive but you get what you pay for. My friends who attended smaller universities received a better education from more experienced teachers. At Ohio State, most of my classes were taught by teaching assistants who were around 24 or 25 years old. They had no experience or perspective. Years after graduating, I attended a smaller university and the teachers were seasoned, helpful, and knowledgeable because they had worked in their field for many years. If you are majoring in something like psychology, sociology, or something general, don't bother. You won't get anywhere with a general major unless you choose to get a Phd in it and go into practice or become a college professor. It's better to major in something specific like CIS, business with concentration, pre-med, pre-law or the like. If you major in something like a language, international studies, art, or similar, you will either have to get a Phd and become a professor or work in some sort of cubicle or in general customer service upon graduation. And when you do graduate, the people who never attended college, have 5 years on you working up the ladder in the workforce. Granted, a college degree means you might become management over someone who did not graduate from college, but it's not guaranteed. So, in conclusion, I sincerely recommend you not attend OSU because the teaching assistants are inexperienced and you will receive a sub-par education. Wherever you go, choose a major wisely.
