Education at CMU is all about assignments. Many professors are international and can't even speak English fluently. There is no room for creativity. Instruction is extremely poor in most courses. I can't generalize that all students are nice or that all students are bad. It's just like everywhere. Most students I have met were not very ambitious, and all they wanted was a job after graduation.
