Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I could not be more unsatisfied with my time spent at FAU. I've made every attempt to get involved with greek life, intramural sports, and study groups but still find myself bored and unhappy on campus. There is little to no activity on campus most of the time and the events that are put on are usually small and not really worth attending. The majority of faculty prove themselves to be uneducated and unhelpful. I even had an academic advisor say that he didn't have any idea how to help me when we were discussing a simple problem. Most of the RA's and other faculty are plain lazy. Our questions go unanswered and problems are ignored because they were either not taught how to fix simple problems or maybe they just don't care to. For the money I'm spending, I don't think FAU is worth it in the least.

commentWhile I agree with you, I still think it's mostly your fault. You should have thought about going to college before 1) taking out a loan, 2) using parent's money, or 3) using your own money. I don't fully blame you, because many are brainwashed into thinking about how 'highschool education can't get you anything', which is true, and then go on to college.

However, a major like 'Political Science'. What were you expecting? They teach you some classes about politics. You'll sit in a room, some older person who is probably not phD will read from a text book, and it can overall have lower quality than highschool education at times.

I am not trolling, just stating. Recently female graduates surpassed male graduates in a US study. Yet you're basically seeing the more intelligent males learning to live their life independently sooner, and getting out of the zombie system. More females prefer to stay, and end up more satisfied with their so called 'social lives' on campus before they realize they majored in like Astronomy or some generic 'Nursing'. These are just degrees, and easy/middle difficulty ones which aren't getting anyone jobs.

The fact is that the same % of males are becoming doctors, engineers, and useful fields. However, the increase of utterly useless females running around in colleges just because they've been brainwashed into it are just highly funny. Typical western girls. Taking these useless lists of majors are equally as detrimental to the whole college system because it's making it more useless and showing females can be happy just graduating with a literal 'liberal arts' degree that won't get them a job.

My Advice: You're right, but really. Get some skills and grow up, get out of the system, and I suppose: take my advice. I'm currently still there just due to parental obligations and considering doing some easier major just to get out. Just my opinion. I feel like a joke, as a male. And yet you're probably that typical girl who thinks she is precious, so whatever. Good luck to you.
