Wright State University

On top of the budget crisis and the faculty wanting to go on strike, one of the only things WSU has going for them is their personal care PA program. However, I believe this school is receiving money from the federal government because they are one of the only three schools in the nation to have a student run PA program. However, that caters more to out of state students than in state students because the in state students, but the social atmosphere here is very unfriendly and the PAs here with the exception of maybe one or two people…some of them curse and on top of that, I am sitting alone at lunch and I have CP. Most of the PAs are not really friendly and when you speak your mind it can stab you in the back because some of the PAs get offended very easily. I don't think, with the exception of most people, if most of the student run PAs are not friendly, why is the shcool getting money from an outside source to keep a program going that isn't working. Over the past year, three students from out of state and one from in state have left. I will be leaving at the end of this semester along with one other in state student. Currently, out of the new freshman class, as far as I know, only two people have came from out of state who are using Ods PAs. This PA program is not friendly and should not receive money from the government unless PAs and former PAs become nicer to disabled students. The person who is in charge of the Ods PAs will not help the student navigate this, but will only defend the PA and the help and will not defend the student. Katherine Myers thank you for so much.
