Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
Everyday I wish I had chosen a different nursing program. I am in the accelerated post-bac nursing program and it is a mess. There is little communication between faculty and students and the faculty is never on the same page. We are constantly given contradictory information and then the blame is somehow put on the students. The lecture professors so far have been condescending and they do not teach- they read their slides. If it weren't for the program using ATI, I would feel totally unprepared for the NCLEX. Things they don't tell you until it's too late: You WILL have weekend clinical or labs, which is good to know for childcare or scheduling purposes. You CANNOT miss a clinical unless you are in the hospital - if you are not excused then you fail the class. You will not know your true schedule until the week the semester starts, so plan for that if you are also working.
