If I could combine the academics of Saint Joe's with the social life of a big state school, I would be in heaven. Unfortunately, you pretty much have to choose one or the other. Most of my professors are great, and you can get al much personal attention as you need. My advisor knows exactly who I am, and I am treated as a person, rather than a number. However, I can't say as many positive things about my social life. I do have friends here, but it's difficult to hang out with them because they all have their own groups, and no one is ever looking to branch out . I'm insanely jealous of my friends who go to big state schools, where everybody wants to be friends with everybody and there is always a place to go on weekends. Here, the parties are incredibly lame and always get busted. I do like the sense of community but be forewarned: Reputations develop fast, and if you hookup or breakup with someone it is an absolute guarantee that you will run into them on a regular basis and I have to say, it can be very uncomfortable. All in all Saint Joe's as a university is great but if you're looking to have the classic college experience, I highly recommend you go somewhere else.
