Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I came here from a community college, and as an online BSN student. First off, if you're an online student forget about getting any help from you advisors period. I went up to UTA because of the fact that after a month my degree plan was still not done. I was turned away because i'm online. Seriously? They then put me in with the wrong start date group. After that was sorted out I was then told they LOST my test scoring for my HESi exam along with my transcripts that were sent to the nursing department. Once I started the nursing program there was so much information thrown at us at one time. We had no clue what was going on. Financial aid is a complete disaster. They take their sweet time processing things, and half the time you have to call them to tell them what you need. On the upside, there has been a few great professors that are willing to help with whatever you need. Some academic coaches really want to see you succeed, and the clinical instructors really understand how tough and time consuming nursing school can be. Overall, if I had to do this again, I would not personally ever pick UTA again. Yes they have a great nursing program, but all the BS that comes along with it almost makes it not worth it!
