ALRIGHT LISTEN UP! Bottom line - coming to William and Mary was the best decision that we have ever made. AND WE WERE RANDOMLY ASSIGNED as roommates (woah). So that's one good thing. If anyone at this school complains about not having fun, then they are not a fun person - STOP BLAMING IT ON THE SCHOOL. William and Mary has a plethera of social opportunities, with or without alcohol (we choose alcohol), but it is up to the individual to get themselves involved in these activities. Face it - if you're a fun person, you will naturally find other people like you. Believe me - those that want to go out do not find themselves stranded in a building full of computer nerds all weekend. However, if you do like computers and sitting at home all weekend, that is cool too. I'm sure there are kids that do that here (as well as in any college), too. The workload here IS hard. However, it enables one (especially out of state smart students who never did work throughout high school) to realize the value of effort, time management, and how sweet success can be when you have actually worked for it. Also, employment institutions as well as graduate schools are aware of the difficulty of the William and Mary curriculum, therefore your hard work WILL be worth it. This school's social life does exist. In fact, it is a whole lot of fun. Both of us have visited larger "party" schools, and have determined that we wouldn't leave W&M even if we had the opportunity to. We even outdrank frat boys in Arizona State University (we are girls). Truth is, if you are able to succeed in a rigorous academic environment like William and Mary's, and still have as much fun as we do, then you will be set for any challenges life may bring to you later on. WILLIAM AND MARY: WE PARTY HARD FOR SMART KIDS.
