The College of William and Mary

The college is amazing. The campus is beautiful, the professors are extremely helpful and care about their students. Many of the students are a little weird, having had not social life in high school but most begin to chill out after they get here. Personally I don't believe that WM is extremely hard (most of the people I know disagree though). I, personally, believe the college gets it reputation for being so hard from the straight A high-school students that freak out when they get to WM and start getting a few Bs and maybe a C.

Also for social life, don't expect to have a lot of parties and tons to do around campus. I've had the most fun getting together with friends and making our own fun. In my opinion the frats are very unimpresive and cater mostly to freshmen that don't know any better (I was one of them). The occasional off-campus parties are definitly fun, but you usually need to know someone to find them.

Williamsburg sucks, I've never heard of a city treating its students with such contempt. It's full or old snooty upper class people who care absolutely nothing of the student population which makes up 50% or Williamsburg -and I would imagine bring quite a bit of money to the area. There is nothing to do, it's extremely hard to vote in Williamsburg, the city passes unfair laws such as the 3 person rule for off campus houses and apartments restricting the number of roommates students can have, sevral rules about noise levels, and will not allow anything of any benifit for the students to be built near campus. There are no bars, just 3 small "delies".
