UNCG is a great school, its become fashionable to hate on UNCG, but my years at UNCG provided me with some great memories. I graduated 5 years ago and have an exciting and prosperous beginning to my career and I really think that my experience at UNCG helped me get where I am today. UNCG teaches you hustle and self management skills. The best thing about UNCG is that it is full of great resources, faculty etc. and nothing is handed to you, you have to go out and make the connections happen for yourself to get the most out of it, just like the work world. It is nationally recognized, I wouldnt say its an elite school by any means, but after the first maybe 50 schools inthe nation, the Harvards, etc. its all the same, its all about what you do with your time. Also people who say there is nothing to do in Greensboro are full of it. The quality of life in Greensboro is OUTSTANDING. Many great outdoor activites, huge system of trails both off road and paved for great running options, huge number of quality public golf courses, we used to go cliff jumping swimming in the summer at a place 15 mins from campus…just an outstanding place to live and learn.
