Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
Hi,I realize I am not a recent graduate, and things may have changed. I did not see a category for advising. I had four different advisors in four years in Cornell engineering. I did not receive much, or very good, advice on coursework or career planning.Cornell engineering is definitely cut throat. If you can score better than the person next to you, you will pass, even if you both know less than half of the material. All the grades in the engineering school are on a curve. The best part of my time in the engineering school was the Hybrid Electric Vehicle design team I participated on as a senior. There are a variety of design teams to join, and they teach you actual engineering and problem solving.Cornell offers a wealth of opportunity and resources - just don't expect much help finding your way.
