Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
There is a reason that there is a saying that Cornell is the easiest Ivy League school to get into and the hardest to get out of. You will work if you want to graduate. Engineering classes are very challenging with means sometimes near 50%. I don't see it as cutthroat, though, its more like everyone is getting screwed so we have to work to together to pass these classes. The social life is what you make of it. You can stay in your room or go have fun at a fraternity party. Its beautiful campus and since its so big you never stop meeting new people. Its the most challenging time I've ever had, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
