The most important thing I learned at USCBusiness - Management and Administration
The most important thing I learned at USC is networking skill. USC offers a lot of classes that enhance your communication skills as well as analytical skills. However, it's up to you to choose which classes to take. You can choose classes as challenging as those in Harvard, OR as stupid as those in Cal State. (e.g. classes which require solely memorization)

Ask yourself, does everyone likes you? It's common to find someone who doesn't like you on campus. USC's diverse student popluation gives you a feeling of a small world. If you doesn't fit USC, you won't fit the real world. In the real world, it's all about who you know and who knows you. If you're not ready for this yet, Cal State is a better place for you, or just go home and stay with your parents. My professors were kind enough to be my references. I got my first job before graduation. Some business classes have over 200 students. But it's up to you to be active or passive in class. No one forces you to sit all the way at the back and play with your laptop. Please behave yourself and choose wisely.

Question
I know that we are not supposed toQuite BrightEnglish
I know that we are not supposed to comment on others' reviews...however, I can't let all the unbridled hostility towards the supposed prevalence of the Greek system go unheeded. I am pretty much one of those who cannot see the point of the Greek system and I have never gone to a party on the Row; nor have I consumed alcohol, taken illicit substances, etc. If Greek life were so huge at USC as some like to suggest, I would be the first whining about it. However, the frats and sororities can be easily ignored if you are not into them. If you are getting annoyed with them, it can only be because you are looking for trouble in that area. People wear shirts with their frat and sorority logos on them a lot, but that's as far as it goes. I only recently found out that one of my friends was in the same sorority as one of my classmates...you'd think that if sororities were the only things on these people's minds, I would have found out a lot sooner. The generalization that people at USC are just trashy is just flat-out stupid. As for questions about the students' wealth (which have to do with stats and not opinions, so this is definitely fair game), the average student's parents at UCLA make more than those at USC; most of the students at USC are on some sort of financial aid. Sure, there are a handful who come from super-wealthy places like Palos Verdes, but you have that lot in every university.

Some people are just crybabies. I made plenty of good friends during my stay at USC (who don't fit into that superficial, trashy mold that some of you espouse). I'm no social butterfly, and if I can make the college work, then there's no excuse for the rest of you. The main problem I have with the school is the marching band. Now, how can we harass frats for being clique-y (and some are, I'm not trying to absolve all frats of responsibility) and let the marching band go by? These people are the epitome of the clique-ish snobs. Plus, they are ANNOYING. How many times have I woken up at 6 AM because they were blasting our inane fight song (I have school spirit, really I do, but after waking up unnecessarily early countless times by the same stupid song, it gets old!) practically right outside the window? I think that USC should make some sort of rule or regulation regarding such disturbances, so that the marching band can't do that. But it probably won't happen...too many people seem to salivate over the MB because they were in Forrest Gump and played with OutKast...*sigh*

Question
I was hoping to go to a goodSuper BrilliantBiology
I was hoping to go to a good college, but I was wrong. USC may have a big reputation, but the academic environment isn't as strong as the Ivies and even the U of California campuses. Students at SC can be arrogant and snoby because a lot of them come from high-income families. They are self-absorbed in the greek system, binge drink and exclude you from conversation if you're not a part of a fraternity. Many of these frats and soririties are dominated by white students, which promotes the racist atmosphere USC use to have. I confirm this because my uncle was denied acceptance into a frat at USC in the 1950s. I am also disappointed because there are plenty of foreigners who can't proper English in the engineering school. I think USC was a waste of money (lots of money!). The majority of the students are very trashy. It's hard to find a true friend at this school. Only a few students I know take their education seriously. In fact one of my friends transferred to Berkeley because she was sick and tired of the materialistic atmosphere at SC. I wish I followed her.
