USC was a great choice. The alumni connection set me up with my first job.

Question
USC = Mediocre education for a high rip-offSuper Brilliant
USC = Mediocre education for a high rip-off price. Looking back at my last three years at this institute, I feel that the students are so much into football, frats and partying. The people of LA also tend to be greedy, selfish, and materialistic..and in turn this culture is also reflected by SC students in general. Some of my professors didn't seem to want to help me. Some of the students I've worked with in groups were fake, and seem to be out to give me low grade with group evaluation. If I were to go back in time, I would NOT come to USC. NEVER!

Question
I was excited about attending SC, but ultimatelyQuite Bright
I was excited about attending SC, but ultimately disappointed with my experience. The cinema school is indeed very strong. The professors are challenging and acessible. It's sometimes not easy to get involved in production, however, and can be expensive. The social life is abysmal. The stereotype of the attractive but vapid frat/sorority type is absolutely true. While not outwardly snobby, they are quite exclusive. At the other end of the spectrum there are a lot of computer dorks. If you're not one of these two types, you probably won't fit in. The surrounding area is dull--there's nothing to do. You must have a car to enjoy L.A., which has somefun things, but is dirty and culturally revolting, full of shallow, materialistic people. Whilethe students are smart, there's not much of an intellectual atmosphere on campus at all. Students at UCLA are nicer and the neighborhood is a lot better. I'm glad I have my degree from this prestigous university. However, if I had it to do again, I would have gone somewhere else.
