I am a freshman here at GW andBrightBiology
I am a freshman here at GW and all I can say so far is that I absolutely love it here!! I admit there are a lot of crazy party lovers here, but hey, who doesn't like a good party once in a while? I am not a crazy party goer and I can still have a great time. That's the awesome thing about this awesome city!! The metro will take you just about anywhere that's worth going and there is so much to see. The campus is absolutely perfect for me since I love the urban style and looked at schools like NYU and BU.I love the fact that I get to pass the white house and the Washington Monument on a regular basis. The students have been pretty approachable. I haven't met anybody who is blatantly rude and obnoxious to my face. You will click with some, but not others and that's the way it goes just about anywhere. My roommates are great! Even though we live in Thurston, we have a cozy quite room that makes us feel at home and provides shelter from the social craziness going on outside. Before coming here I admit that I was a little scared by some of the posts I read on this site about the other students, but honestly, it shouldn't matter because there are so many cool people here that you just gotta ignore the ones that give you a hard time. This schoool gives you so many opportunities. It is a great place and there is no other like it!!

George Washington has an amazing location and provides a unique experience for college. You will never be bored-there is always something going on. If you want green grass and trees, this isn't the place for you, but if you appreciate the city and want to share your address with the President, come to GW.

The school needs to focus a lot more on building a community around its student body. In this regards they have been horrible and many students are alienated.
