My experiences at Michigan State were tremendous inBusiness - Management and Administration
My experiences at Michigan State were tremendous in every way. The programs were challenging and directly prepared me for the real world. The faculty and staff were for the most part interested in the student body and its success. The university is large, which in itself can be a challenge. However, there are many opportunities and the experience of attending a large university like MSU is partly what I attribute to being ready for the real world.

The best advice is to get involved in university and extracurricular programs. Study hard and get some practical experience in your major. Of course, enjoy the social life that MSU is well known for too. That is a huge part of what made my years at MSU the best of my life. GO GREEN!!!

Question
I went to MSU because of Lyman BriggsComputer Science
I went to MSU because of Lyman Briggs School (It was Lyman Briggs College back in 1968 when I started.) It combines liberal arts and science education in a small school environment tucked into the amazing variety of social and educational opportunities of a big school. I was a National Merit Scholar and it was heady indeed to live in a dorm where fully half of my housemates were also National Merit Scholars.Lyman Briggs School allows you to have a coordinate major in addition to your Lyman Briggs field of concentration. I got a coordinate degree in Computer Science which I found very advanced for the times. When I later attended graduate school in Computer Science, I found my undergraduate courses at MSU more than prepared me for the graduate courses.
