Great school in an even better city.Quite BrightMechanical Engineering
Great school in an even better city. By far the best school in Michigan and even the MSU students would tell you that up till their senior year of high school. While it is slightly more expensive that other nearby public schools, it is less than half the price of even my sister's no-name local private school, and that's before most of our ridiculous grants that Michigan just hands out to middle class students for no apparent reason. Lot's of school pride and most of the engineering school consists of friendly nerds who welcome conversation from strangers (mostly to complain about class workload).

Great university, stereotypical collegeQuite BrightComputer Engineering
Great university, stereotypical college experience. I'm not in a frat, but there is still so much to do in AA. I'm out-of-state so its pretty damn expensive, and it might suck knowing your in-state friends are paying half the price. Apply for scholarships and you might have better luck than me!

Question
I love it here.Quite BrightOther
I love it here. The other students come in all forms, and I've had no problem meeting people who I can have fun with and relate with. Not everyone is approachable, but where on Earth would EVERYONE be approachable anyway? The technology use and resources here are A+, the campus is aesthetically great looking and wonderfully laid out. If you're living on Central Campus, everything you ever need or need to go to is within walkability, unless you have business on North Campus. The faculty so far has been engaging, and even my GSIs have really seemed to know their field and how to deal with us undergrads. Getting involved is easy and there are so many opportunities to do so. The work so far has been a great balance of challenging and interesting, even in the topics that I didn't expect to have much interest in. This is worth every cent I'm paying to be here.
