Avila was a very good school way back when I went there for my graduate studies. It is a private, catholic university, but welcomes students from all religions, races, cultures, etc. Their programs and reputation have only gotten stronger over the years. They are now in the process of expanding, since student population is at an all time high. My experience was so positive, I am now faculty here, so I can definitely say it is a good school with exceptional teachers. For the student wanting a concentrated education in a smaller class size, where you really get to know your instructors, this is the place for you. There is an evening program for working adults to allow for accelerated degree completion, in addition to the traditional undergrad and graduate studies.

I really enjoyed Avila is many ways but the nursing program is superb and I am very glad that I chose to attend Avila. I think that being involved in athletics or some sort of group whether it be Senate or an RA that is essential. Without these the experience at Avila will make you feel very disconnected.
