| Quite Bright | OBU is not a good school, unless you are the perfect little Jesus that does not have to pay for your own schooling. They cater to one type of student, and if that is not you, its game over. OBU cares only about three student organizations. The school paper, Campus Activities Board, and Welcome Week Workers. All of which you have to apply for to become a part. Academically The school is good, not great, but good. Socially the students are snooty, and unless you look, act, and sound like them they want nothing to do with you. I got told I was going to hell numerous times because I have a tattoo. That is the OBU type of person, quick to judge, and typical American "Christian" | Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Surrounding City: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | This school is great if you are attending college to gain an education in books. As far as being open-minded and embracing diversity - forget it. This school is very homophobic and 'lilly-white' when I attended. If you are going to college for an OVERALL GROWING experience - OBU is exclusive to the 'religious right', white culture and if you aren't 'religious' enough you are shunned. | Scholastic Success: A, Social Life: D | | | |

| Quite Bright | At the time, OBU was liberal enough to give me a view of the world in which I would work with a religious base that gave me the grounding I needed. That atmosphere seems to have changed. If you're looking at OBU today, ask questions. | Starting Job: Theatre Teacher, Preparedness: B+, Reputation: A | | |

| Quite Bright | OBU is best for students looking for a partial, Baptist education...not for students hoping to obtain worldliness or top-notch instruction. | Preparedness: B, Reputation: D+ | | |
