This college presenting itself as an educational institutionQuite Bright
This college presenting itself as an educational institution is with no doubt in my mind, an absolute joke. What the recruiting staff leaves out of the picture is that there are three separate campuses. Depending on which major you chose determines which one or ones you will utilize. If your coming to the school for aeronautics training then you will be using the flight campus, located in Jenks, and the main campus located by the international airport. These campuses are separated by about 13 miles. The major is set up so that your "earn" your associates degree first which consists of all your general education classes as well as your flight ratings, then you can move on with your BA degree, HOWEVER, if you finish your classes first in your associates degree and still have flight ratings to complete, you are not allowed to move on to complete the BA degree until you have all the flight ratings that are specified by your degree. That being said, lets talk about the main campus. First and foremost, don't stay at the "dorms" the school offers, they expensive, rundown, cramped, and in the more dangerous sections of Tulsa?just because you have a great fence around the building dos not make it any safer when the whole neighborhood wants to steal everything in the dorm complex. Main campus staff, a Dr. endergrass and a Mr. Slaton are the ?witless idiots? that run the educational department. They are rude, inconsiderate, and are very set in their own ways of running the department how they like. They are very difficult to approach; hard to talk to and belittle you in conversation making you think you are not worth their time. I wonder If they ever look at their paycheck and think, ? wow! That's there because students go to this school.? Probably not, but it's a nice thought. Most people think, that just like traditional college, you have several classes during the day, not at Spartan, you have one class per day, which lasts about 2.5 hours. Funding for the school is also another issue, for the most part, you can take out a loan of about $28,000. Lets talk money while were on the subject, if you are here to fly you should know that renting airplanes costs a good deal of money both single and multi-engine. On average the single engine runs you a little under $200 and the multi engine comes in just under $300. To put it lightly, there are A Lot of Problems with Spartan and no one wants to look for a solution. Make sure you don't miss out on a college experience like I did by coming to Spartan, be smart, think it through and choose EMBRY RIDDLE like I should have done years ago.

Question
I would strongly advise against this school!Quite Bright
I would strongly advise against this school! I came from out of state,, 14 hours away. I am currently attending the professional pilot program.. haha..not very professional. I already had been going to a flight school before coming here, and they said my hours were not transferable. so,, more money for them to repeat half the stuff i already took and tested for. I do not get any special grants or funding..my parents are paying out of pocket straight up cash..and they are tired of forking over money for an "associates degree", i could well be a doctor by now for all the money they spent on being a pilot,,which by the way they are not even hiring instructors,, like they said they would be. so ,, i will finish with my expensive associates degree, and have no job ,,except for my low paying retail job that i have managed to keep for the entire time. Every thing they tell you is a lie,,and no one knows anything around here. Parents "BEWARE".. no place to send a bright willing hard working student... it gets you no job,,and you loose all your money.
