As for the aesthetics of the school... eh, I'll just say that it isn't the prettiest campus I've seen. But I am not paying for someone to make the bushes pretty, I am here to learn. I would pay the same amount to go to school in a storage unit somewhere as long as the education I receive is at least as good as what I feel I get here.
Spartan Landing, well, I don't live there. But, I do know several people who do. I will be honest and say that the people I know who do live there are looking to get out of there. I don't think that it is a terrible place, it is a place where a bunch of "just out of high school kids" live and are not grown up enough to understand what it takes to live in the adult world yet.
The recruiters, well, they are just that. I have to agree with the person who compared them to used car salesmen. They are just that, they get paid by how many people they get to buy in. As long as you get what you pay for, isn't that what counts? Personally I feel that I am.
The reviews that I have read that are negative seem to me to be by the people who aren't here for the education. I know people like that that are here now. Spartan has a strict attendance policy that you have to adhere to. You must have 180hrs of seat time for the class per term. Each term is six weeks. If you miss time, you must make it up. You are allowed to miss 10 percent of class time (18 hrs.) before you must retake the class. Not a big deal for us who value our education and try to get the most out of it. You will be training for a real job in a professional industry. With the exception of making up time, they are very lenient with time. I have never had a job where I could miss that much time and still have a paycheck. Another thing I have noticed with the people who have a negative outlook is that they all seem to be the ones who put partying, opposite sex, alcohol and their jobs first. I am sorry but I moved almost 2000 miles from a 70K a year job in my hometown to come to school here, as well as move my wife and my two children to an unfamiliar area to go to school and I am gonna take my education very seriously. If you don't, you will be one of the people on here giving a negative review. At the end of the day, you get what you put in. That goes for anything you do. Spartan is no different. Would I recommend this school? Absolutely! As long as you are willing to work hard, grow up, and put your education first. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me @
