The school really tries to please students inQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The school really tries to please students in every way they can because they know that the fact is, you can't do much here unless you have lots of money. So i guess for the 75% of commuters that go here and live in Fairfax who have shit loads of money, the school is great. Going into DC is expensive, especially with gas prices these days (and gas is really expensive in this area). Taking the metro is another option but everyone hates doing it, it too costs money and takes a long time to get anywhere you want to go. The ambassadors will tell you that it takes 15 minutes to get to the metro from campus, and 20 minutes for the metro to get into DC, which is kind of true. But the fact is, getting anywhere you want to go by taking the metro is going to take you at least 60-90 minutes in total.

If you want to go to a party you have to drive, and if you're the one with the car, then you're the designated driver. The party scene really sucks here, no parties on campus or in walking distance. Don't come here if you're looking for the typical college experience that you would find at JMU, VTech, or VCU.

I admit that I didn't have to do much my freshman year - in fact I don't think I ever studied for more than 2 hours at a time. When I did study, it consisted of reading the book. I hardly ever took notes, and can honestly say that I didn't learn much.I will be attending VCU this next fall for a more rewarding college experience.

Question
I have enjoyed my two years at MasonQuite BrightAccounting
I have enjoyed my two years at Mason very much. The Accounting program is top notch and the university offers a rich variety of programs, student activities, and internships that only add to the vacation.

I am an avid swimmer and Mason has one of the finest Aquatic Facilities on the east coast - bar none. I am involved in two academic organizations and a fraternity. The ever growing on-campus population only makes these activities and facilities better.

The campus is undergoing a lot of construction - but it reflects the growth of the university and also results in the students getting all brand new facilities with the latest features and accommodations.

The basketball, soccer, and lacrosse programs are successful and also provide a lot of social opportunities and fun for the students. I would definitely recommend Mason.

Question
My first year at Mason was fantastic.Quite BrightComputer Engineering
My first year at Mason was fantastic. I started my studies in computer engineering and have been impressed with the faculty and the curricula. Starting in Spring of 2009 we will be moving the program into the new Volgenau building which is in the last half of its construction phase.

Mason is a young university but has quickly developed its engineering and SITE programs to one of the best in the state. The School of Information Technology and Engineering provides excellent resources for study and research including brand new and state of the art computer labs, high end comupting machines, and large amounts of easily accessible research material. I also like how the dean for SITE maintains regular contact with all the program's students to ensure everyone is receiving the support they need as they complete their degree. In addition, Mason also is near alot of high tech companies in Northern Virginia who have a relationship with the University that results in numerous opportunities for internships and co-op.

The campus is quite pretty although it is going through a lot of construction. However, this construction is bringing in a large amount of new campus housing, academic buildings, dining options, and facilities for student recreation.

I spend a lot of my time at the indoor swimming facility and gym.
