Positive Negative Neutral Advice
George Mason University isBrightPolitical Science
George Mason University is better than its reputation and both the faculty and student body are generally intelligent with few exceptions. A few professors do have a political platform, mainly leftist. I would advise caution in revealing your own bias, no matter where you go.

Question
A lot of the complaints I hear aboutSuper BrilliantPolitical Science
A lot of the complaints I hear about GMU are centered around the CS or engineering departments. I am a gov't and int'l politics major and was in the Honors Program, which gives me a different perspective, especially since my computer usage only consists of typing papers and making charts. I found the resources of the Honors Program particularly helpful; and being in the Program helped ease me into college life because of the small college feel it has. I have enjoyed my years at Mason and will miss it a little bit when I graduate in May and go on to grad school elsewhere. My only major complaint with the university is that, with such a kaleidescopic campus community, I'm extremely disappointed that Arabic is not offered as a foreign language.

Question
Its a good college, but the university needsAverageElectrical Engineering
Its a good college, but the university needs to stay updated, especially the engineering department. Which has old out of date software, and not enough resources for labs. Class rooms are crowded and also proffessors don't teach any material realted to the exams, or general major. Most engineering proffessors are good at this university, but the CS department has a lot of arrogant proffessors.
