Be advised that James Madison is in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains (i.e. in the middle of nowhere). If you can accept the location, Madison will prove a valuable and enjoyable experience. The academic reputation of JMU is well-recognized- I now attend a top-notch law school on the strength of my Madison degree- and the instructors are always available and devoted to undergraduate education (not their own research or graduate students.) Great study abroad options, nice campus, and fantastic tuition make Madison a good choice. Consider JMU.

JMU is what you make of it. if you go to JMU and do nothing and don't even try to get involved, then you won't enjoy yourself. there are so many things to do here -- student government, student life, theater, music, dance, greek life, academic clubs,clubs for diversity, sports... i'm tired so i can't really think of anything else. but if you come here and decide to try something you've never done before, it's so easy. i came here and got involved in different things and made some really close friends. getting involved really does impact your college experience in a very positive way.
